PROFILE
An award-winning illustrator and author, Linh completed his Master’s degree in the UK as a Chevening Scholar in 2022.
His work is recognized both locally and internationally, earning him the Vietnam National Book Award (2023) for his work “Storytelling on Water,” the Study UK Alumni Award (2026), and most recently, the Nami Concours International Picture Book Illustration Award (2026) in South Korea. Currently, Linh focuses on cultural art projects and inclusive art practices. Through community-driven initiatives, he is dedicated to empowering underrepresented groups and ensuring equitable access to the arts for everyone.
EXPERIENCE
Co-Founder and Creative Director
Sunbox Social Enterprise, Vietnam | 2015 - Present
Co-founded the organisation and serve as creative director, designing and delivering projects that combine artistic practice, cultural research and social impact. Lead an interdisciplinary team of eight working across publishing, inclusive arts and community-based creative education.
Selected projects
2026 - Radiance in the Darkness, developing theatre performance practice with people with visual impairment.
2025 - Ear to Eye, enabling audiences with visual impairment to experience live theatre.
2023 - Ngày Xửa Ngày Nay, leading the publication of a book that amplifies the voices and lived experiences of people with disabilities.
2021 - Telling Stories on Water, authoring and illustrating a research-based artbook on Vietnamese water puppetry that is now used as a reference by artists, students and cultural researchers.
2019 - A Guide to Water Puppetry, organising an exhibition on Vietnamese water puppetry and leading publication of a picture book that sold more than 3,000 copies in its first month.
2018 - Little Hero and Tiny Snake, producing a puppetry performance that combined traditional Vietnamese puppetry techniques with contemporary storytelling.
2017 - Superhero Bookcase and 10$ Cinema, operating a mobile library and cinema initiative that brought cinema experiences to children in rural areas.
2016 - 2K Shop (Gian hàng 2K), organising a charity shop where all items were priced at one cent. The initiative attracted 200 volunteers and expanded from Ho Chi Minh City to other provinces across Vietnam.
