100 Threads of Vietnam is an illustration project created by Linh Luong as a journey of both artistic creation and learning more about his own country. The project comprises 100 illustrations capturing 100 impressions of Vietnamese culture.
Linh Luong calls each impression a “thread”, reflecting his humility about all that he has yet to learn. When brought together, these individual threads help weave a picture of the culture he encountered throughout this journey. This metaphor also inspired the title 100 Threads of Vietnam, which can be understood as 100 threads of Vietnamese culture.
